Miami On Sight is a partnership of independent fashion designers, producers and models and was created to increase economic development in the area of fashion design, clothing merchandising and modeling, and to enhance the visibility of Miami’s local fashion and art scene with a focus on sustainability and community action. 

All selected designers will receive models, professional photos from the day of the event, exposure and press opportunities, networking opportunities, prep space on the day of show, and more. All selected designers will be required to sign a contract of participation.

To apply, submit the following to miamionsight@gmail.com. Deadlines for the particular shows are below.

  1. A one-page resume and two paragraph designer bio.

  2. A professional, inspired vision of your collection including nine sketches, text and images which explain and illustrate how your designs will interpret this show’s title.

  3. Links to your social media accounts, website (where applicable), and two press clips/articles if applicable, and six images of previous work.

  4. Your contact information, email, phone number, address.

  5. Registration Fee: $100 for general public, and $30 for student designers, payable via paypal via username miamionsight@gmail.com. You can send it as a “gift” to avoid fees.

  6. What show(s) you are applying for.

Submissions that do not fulfill the standard guidelines listed above will not be reviewed. All designers must be local to Florida.

The selected designers will be contacted via email. 



UPCOMING EVENTS

Please choose one or multiple events in which you would like to participate in. Designers are welcome to apply for multiple events with each event application requiring a separate application fee.

1. LINCOLN RD EARTH DAY FASHION SHOW AND CLIMATE CHANGE PROTEST

This fashion show will celebrate all body types and genders and sustainable fashion. This runway will incorporate a 20 person drum circle, a climate change protest as the finale, and more on Lincoln Rd. Designers are required to present 6 sustainable looks each. 

Selected designers must be available for the following events:

  1. February 18, 2020– Designers Meeting & Orientation – 6pm-8pm

  2. April 11, 2020– Show Rehearsal – 6pm-9pm

  3. April 26, 2020– Entire Day of the Show

Applications are due February 9th, 2020. Selected designers will be notified by February 15th, 2020.
