Chosen designers at this curated showcase will be using their talents to demonstrate how fashion can be sustainable without sacrificing sophistication or quality. As the curtain closes on Art Basel and a week of international art events, this runway is also meant to re-center the conversation around inspiring work being done in the Magic City. Designers presenting will be Felder Felder, Krel Wear, Mavrans, The Onikas, Pangea Kali Virga, Ana Dalessio, Jet Lag Mode, Atelier E Jewelry and Tao Company Jewelry, with very special contributions from the students of DASH Miami. The evening’s emcee will be none other than Samantha Viola (IG: @shesgoing_), photographer, blogger, influencer, and tireless promoter of ethical brands. Models will be walking to a suite of songs by local Miami bands featuring every contemporary tendency. The show will incorporate the venue’s existing art and architecture into the unique performance, including Buckminster Fuller’s Fly’s Eye Dome and the newly installed work, Pink Beasts by Fernando Laposse.

1st annual mos fashion show @collins park

The first annual Miami On Sight fashion show took place in Collins Park, outside of the Bass Museum, on Sunday, September 29th, For our first annual runway, 16 local Miami designers and artists showcased 9 complete looks in collaboration with local shoe and accessory designers. The theme for the inaugural 2019 Miami On Sight Fashion Show was sustainability, featuring Miami designers that incorporate sustainable practices in the production of their garments and accessories. The runway also incorporated two distinctly Miami sculptures, Ugo Rondinone's neon Miami Mountain and the exquisite 1962 Albert Vrana Rotunda, monuments to a shared history of art and beauty in the open air. This free event, the first of its kind, drew an attendance of 500 people, with all VIP seat ticket proceeds benefiting Habitat For Humanity of Greater Miami, a local nonprofit organization that transforms lives and communities in Miami-Dade by providing low-income families with affordable home ownership opportunities.
